Buhid Neural Confluence

Taking its name from Buhid script, an endangered writing system of the Mangyan people on the island of Mindoro, Philippines, the piece evokes a fluid network of perceptual interconnections. The notion of "confluence" alludes to a sensory convergence rather than verbal dialogue: a form of neural resonance activated through music and visual stimuli. Rooted in synesthetic experience, the piece explores how affective and embodied responses can shape a shared, almost telepathic, mental space where meaning emerges beyond language. It draws inspiration from nighttime gathering places where the audience focuses on a central projection, typically controlled by a VJ. Here, the projection surface is the floor: a translucent, acrylic-like platform animated with cyclical patterns that form a dynamic mosaic. These motifs, derived from Buhid script, are reinterpreted as visual rhythms. The work continues the transformation of previous 2D figures into three-dimensional entities.

ASeminar

Is conceived as a hybrid spatial environment inspired by Mediterranean village squares, a labyrinth of buildings and alleys, leading to a central open area where activity is concentrated. The volumetric structures recall contemporary exhibition spaces, yet here the works are not hung on walls but instead incorporate transparent layers, allowing visitors to walk through them or portals to new metaverses. Human entities are based on anonymous and public individuals, sourced from different places such as online clothing catalogues, still images become AI generative based animations. Other human motifs explore body movement captured through camera-based practices, not just from professional dancers but everyday individuals engaged in compelling, unscripted actions. These characters were eventually transformed into sculptural digital forms, inhabiting an ectopic network of relations—one without a fixed perspective and lacking visible interaction among them. The name Aseminar comes from “Anti Seminar,” where different voices—content creators, real estate agents, influencers, music groups, and messages in recognizable or unfamiliar languages—form a fractured discourse. This discourse interrupts itself through multiple viewpoints and overlapping layers of sound, creating a fragmented and multifaceted narrative.

Sundanese Dimension

Explores another endangered writing system like Sundanese script through a visual system in which the signs iterate rhythmically, becoming part of a larger mosaic that constructs an imaginary architecture.
